Of course I'm talking about Spring! I thought the picture to the left sums the transition up pretty darn well. The crisp sunlight, early buds on the trees, leaves still covering the trail, and warm afternoons giving way to cool evenings. It sure does make for some great riding.
I've been noticing more and more folks out on the roads and greenways as the weather has improved. I see my neighbors more and have a friendly chat. What's not to like about Spring?
The Maryville Farmer's market will be starting in a few weeks as well. Be on the lookout for the bike Rodeo which happens early in April. It's a great way to get the kid's bikes checked out and ready to ride. There will be plenty more events to follow as well around the areas, including the Tour de Blount, which is always a good time on the road bikes in May.
The riding season is upon us. If you put the bike away for the winter, dust 'er off, put some air in the tires and some lube on the chain and go take advantage of the beautiful weather and longer days and go find some greenways, roads, and trails to ride!
